Daniel Hartmann studied computer science in Berlin and spent the better part of a decade working in sales and account management at a mid-sized European managed hosting company — the kind of role where you spend a lot of time explaining to enterprise clients why their "unlimited bandwidth" plan has a footnote on page 8 of the SLA, or why the "guaranteed 99.9% uptime" doesn't mean what they think it means.

Based in Berlin, he has a particular focus on the European hosting market — not because it's the only market, but because the EU providers (OVHcloud, Contabo) operate under regulatory and pricing conditions that North American reviewers often either miss or misrepresent.
